About LibraSetu
A bridge between students and the study libraries in their city
What we do
Across India, students preparing for competitive exams, college courses and board exams rent a seat by the month at a self-study library: a quiet reading room with a desk, power, Wi-Fi and fixed hours. Most of these libraries are small, independently run businesses, and most are still managed with paper registers and phone calls.
LibraSetu (“setu” means bridge) does two things:
- For students, a free directory of study libraries by city, with each library's address, timings, amenities, monthly plans, seat availability and reviews from other students.
- For library owners, an operations tool that replaces the register: members, seat allocation, attendance (including QR check-in), fee collection, expenses and revenue reports.
How the directory works
Every library in the directory has its own page. Libraries run on LibraSetu publish their details, plans and live seat counts themselves, and students can request a seat directly from the page without creating an account.
Some pages are for libraries whose owners haven't joined yet. These are clearly labelled “Not joined yet”, show only the details we have, and can't take bookings. If one of them is your library, you can claim the page for free.
Reviews are left by students and visitors. Reviews from members of a library are marked as verified.
For library owners
If you run a study library or reading room, you can list it and manage it on LibraSetu. Book a free demo and we'll walk you through setting up your seats, plans and members.
